5 Things You Should Never Pack

Too much luggage can weigh you down your travels. Here’s what you don’t need to pack for your next trip.

Too Many Clothes

The first place to start when it comes to trimming down your luggage is with your clothing. You can usually get away with less clothes for a trip than you might expect. Pick a neutral color scheme and plan the clothes that you pack around it so that your items mix and match easily. Take a basic pair of shoes, too, so that they will go with everything.

Jeans can be reworn multiple times, so one pair is usually enough. One jacket is plenty too. Small items, such as socks and underwear, can be hand washed in a sink, so you do not need to pack too many pairs of those. If need be, your hotel may have a laundry service, or you can get a limo ride to a laundromat to do a load or two.

Large Toiletries

Shampoo, body wash, and the like can take up significant space in your bag. Opt for travel-size containers instead of full-size bottles. For most trips, these small bottles hold plenty of product. You may also want to scale back your beauty routine for travel so that you will have less items to manage on your trip.

If you do run low on necessities, every community has drug or discount stores where you can restock your supply. Our Tampa limo service can get you to a shop and back again, so you can pick up what you need, hassle-free.

Car Keys

For a truly relaxing trip, leave your car keys at home. Driving is part of your everyday life, so feel free to forgo it on your vacation. Instead, let our Florida car rental service get you from place to place. Limos are spacious, comfortable, and elegant, which is just the right feel for a relaxing getaway.

Household Gadgets

Vacation is supposed to be when life is easy, so leave your gadgets at home. Most hotels or vacation rentals have hair dryers available for their guests. You can find an iron and a coffeemaker in most rooms too.

As for all of your electronics, think through what you really need. For example, if you can download an ebook app on your tablet, then pack just that and leave your electronic reader at home. Unless you have major work to do, you can probably get away with just a phone or a tablet, so you won’t need your laptop.

Towels

Like clothes, towels take up a lot of space in your bag. Fortunately, your hotel room will supply washcloths, hand towels, and bath towels. They will probably have towels near the pool, and some oceanside lodging sites give their guests towels to take to the beach too. If you do feel the need to pack one towel, go for a microfiber one, which packs down much smaller than a traditional towel.
